Q. What is Lakewood Country Club?

A. Established in 1908, Lakewood Country is one of the oldest private clubs in Colorado. Originally laid out by Golf Course Architect, Tom Bendelow, the course was redesigned in 1916 by the renowned, Donald Ross. A Master Plan to restore the Parkland style golf course to the Ross redesign was completed in 2020, by Gil Hanse, a noted Donald Ross restoration specialist. Conveniently located near 6th Avenue and Wadsworth, Lakewood Country Club is dedicated to providing first-class service, exceptional amenities, and memorable experiences in a relaxed, warm, and family-friendly atmosphere.

Q. Who owns the Club facilities?

A. Lakewood Country Club is a Member owned Club. The Club is run by the Board of Directors and elected by the voting Members. The Board’s role is strategic and includes long range planning and setting Club policies. The Club’s day-to-day operations are handled by Jonathan Clay, Sr., General Manager, and his staff.

Q. What facilities are available at the Club?

A. The Club facilities include an 18 hole golf course, driving range, chipping area, two practice putting greens, a 38,000 square foot Clubhouse, Men’s and Ladies’ Locker Rooms, fitness facility, Olympic size pool, baby pool, and children’s play structure. Lakewood Country Club proudly offers an elite golf experience to it’s Members that now includes Trackman Range and TrackMan Simulator (currently the simulator is available in the off-season).

Q. What types of membership does the Club offer?

A. Lakewood Country Club offers Golf and House Social memberships. A description of these classifications is available on the schedule of initiation fees and monthly fees.

Q. Who can be a Member of the Club?

A. Membership is available to approved applicants 21 years of age and older. Membership includes your spouse/significant other and children up to the age of 25.

Q. Does the Club charge an initiation fee to join?

A. Yes, the Club charges a one time fee to join based on the membership category you select. Some categories of offer payment plans and the initial initiation fee installment is due upon receipt of your application.

Q. Are there children’s events and programs?

A. Yes. In addition to our junior golf program, swim team, and swim lessons, the Club offers a fun-filled year round calendar including Easter Party and Egg Hunt, Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day Pool Party, Halloween Party complete with a haunted house, Father/Daughter Dance, Family Gingerbread House Party, Holiday Party, and more!
