A great deal of time and energy goes into the maintenance and upkeep of the golf course. It is therefore important for everyone to do their share in maintaining the beauty and playability of our fine course. Please adhere to the rules listed below.
- Shoes with metal spikes of any kind are not allowed on the golf course.
- Please sand and seed all divots in fairways and fix ball marks on putting surfaces.
- Rake and level sand bunkers.
- Practicing on the golf course is strictly forbidden.
- During the winter, sledding, skiing, and ice skating are NOT ALLOWED.
- Please keep golf cart 50 feet from tees and greens or on the paths by those areas.
- If you see someone abusing the golf course, please report the offense to the Golf Pro Shop staff.
- Golf course is open for play at 7:00 a.m. Tuesdays through Sundays and holidays. No play may start before these times. No groups may tee off on the 10th tee on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
When a golf cart is leased, it becomes the responsibility of the lessee to keep the golf cart in the same condition as when received. It is expressly understood that Lakewood Country Club and the Golf Pro Shop shall not be liable for damages of any kind, whether to the person and/or property, or other loss arising from the use of, operation of, or in any way connected with the said property or any part thereof, from whatever cause arises. The lessee agrees to pay or reimburse Lakewood Country Club, on return of the cart, for all charges incidental to all breakages, shortages, or damage, other than ordinary wear, during the leased period.
Please follow the signs and drive your cart in an orderly manner. Keep cart on the cart paths where provided.
Golf cart must be driven by the signing person, who is then responsible for it. To rent and drive a golf cart, you must have a valid driver’s license.
If you wish to use a cart, pick up the keys at the Golf Pro Shop. At this time, the member must sign the charge ticket.
Appropriate attire is required, which includes acceptable golf attire. Please refer to the Dress Code and Juniors' Dress Code sections under Golf Rules and Regulations for details on appropriate golf attire. For men, women, and children, appropriate denim pants and shorts are allowed. Frayed, torn or worn-looking clothing is considered inappropriate, including cargo shorts and pants, defined as having externally sewn pockets protruding from the side of the legs at thigh level.
While on Club grounds or in the Clubhouse, shirts must be tucked into the waistband, unless manufacturing style prohibits. Sweatshirts are permitted to be worn in the Clubhouse. Cotton sweatpants and yoga pants, are not allowed in the Clubhouse, with the exception of the Men's and Women's locker rooms. Inappropriate attire consists of, but is not limited to: tee shirts, tank tops, halter tops, strapless tops, cropped tops, athletic shorts or shorts with an elastic waistband, cutoffs, and short shorts.
For the men, hats and visors may be worn in the Clubhouse, with the exception that hats and visors are not permitted in the downstairs dining areas (Members making the turn and using the Pike's Peak Lounge for food and beverage pick-up are exempted). Hats and visors may not be worn backwards or askew anywhere in the Clubhouse.
Swimming attire is not permitted in the Clubhouse dining facilities. An adult going to and from the Clubhouse Locker Rooms and the pool must be wearing a shirt or other swimsuit cover-up. Swim attire must be appropriate and modest.
Appropriate dress, including, but not limited to, no denim, no shorts (except for children under age 12) and no flip flops, is required for major Club functions, such as Mother's Day brunch, Easter brunch and other recurring special events as defined by Club management. A dress code may be established for specific parties and will be publicized in the newsletter, in fliers, and on the website.
Judicious discretion, as determined by Senior Management, will be used in all situations of personal appearance and attire, and appropriate sanctions may be adopted for any violations. Management has been instructed by the Board of Directors to report any person inappropriately attired. Members are responsible for the proper attire of their family and guests.
In accordance with Colorado law and Lakewood municipal ordinance, smoking is not permitted inside any building or within 25' of an entrance to any building on the campus.
